How does it capture audio?

Sound Siphon: Audio Unit is loaded in your DAW where it directly captures app or system audio.

Do I need to install any additional drivers?

No. There’s nothing extra to install.

Can I capture specific apps?

Yes. Capture all system audio, target specific apps, or exclude apps you don’t want recorded.

Will I hear audio twice while monitoring?

System playback can be muted to prevent duplicate audio.

Does it record microphones too?

Yes. Microphones can also be added as audio sources.

Which hosts are supported?

Works with AU-compatible hosts including Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Reaper, Sessions, and others. Available as both a generator and an effect.

Does it work with offline bounce/export?

No. Real-time capture only. Offline rendering isn’t supported.

What macOS version is required?

Requires macOS 26 or later.
