  • macOS 14 (Sonoma) support.
  • Ignored apps now causes Sound Control to completely disable all audio processing for apps in the list.
  • Never hide settings window disclosure button.
  • Don’t show output if a hidden device is the default output. This works around a crash that happened if Audirvana was playing with “exclusive access” on.
  • Fixed a bug that could lead to always downmixing to mono.
  • Can now import a folder of effects presets.
  • More responsive UI.
  • Fixed a bug that could lead to artifacts in audio when adjusting volume when Prevent sleep is enabled for the default output device.

  • Diagnostics now include user defaults.
  • Priority devices are now reloaded when switching tabs and when the window becomes active. This keeps aggregate devices that are edited up to date.
  • Fixed preferred audio device change when they are connected or disconnected.
  • Added option to “Force response to keyboard volume keys” in settings for situations where Sound Control doesn’t handle keyboard volume controls automatically.

  • Volume, balance, and EQ settings can now be set independently on output devices.
  • Now supports all audio units that can load in process.
  • Many new hot keys.
  • Support for MIDI triggers and continuous controllers to all HotKeys and volumes.
  • Added searchable AutoEQ headphones equalization presets to AUNBandEQ. (See Presets -> Load Headphone Calibration)
  • Unified master volume, other apps, and the default output device.
  • Added option to keep system output device alive. Some audio devices go to sleep and are slow to wake up. This option keeps them awake.

  • Fixed possible static in captured audio that could occur in rare circumstances with some audio output devices.
  • More efficient capture, especially in the User Audio PlugIn.
  • Inputs that are in use now keep working after changing the system output device.
  • Inputs that capture the system output no longer track the system output device. They keep capturing the device that was the system output at the beginning of capture.
